In 2017, the Central Exhibition Hall of Mange in Moscow will turn 200 years old. On this occasion, a large -scale exhibition dedicated to its history will be held in the Manege.

This was announced by TASS Director of the Museum and Exhibition Association "Manezh" Irina Tolpina.

The main event of the anniversary year will be the final exhibition “Manege - 200 years”, which will present historical artifacts and research, as well as modern works - from installations to objects that model virtual reality.

“Not forgetting about the architectural component of the visual image of the building, we would also like to recall the history, culture, art and events, life and life of the townspeople associated with the central exhibition hall,” said Tolpina. Specialists of the museum and exhibition associations work on the exhibition together with state archives, private collectors, artists and architects.

It will be held in the New Manege from October 21 to January 9, and the educational program, which includes excursions, lectures, master classes and film screenings, will be held in the Chekhov House and the Exhibition Center “Worker and Collective Law”.
