Among the prize -winners of the Tenor Bogdan Volkov contest from the Bolshoi Theater, who received the second prize, and the soloist of the Primorsky scene of the Mariinsky Theater Elena Stylen (Soprano), who was awarded the prize of the audience sympathies and the special Culturarte Prize prize. Soprano of the Bolshoi Theater Olga Kulchinskaya (Ukraine) became the laureate of the third award.
This year, 12 singers from Italy, Kosovo, the USA, Ukraine and South Korea became the finalists of the competition. The first awards were received by tenor Kim Köhun Wu (South Korea) and Soprano Elsa Dreizig (France).

The International Competition of Operalia opera singers was founded in 1993 by the world famous tenor and conductor Placido Domingo. The place of its holding is changing annually-it has already passed in Paris, Mexico City, Madrid, Bordeaux, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Washington, Valencia, Quebke, Budapest, Tokyo, Milan, Moscow, Beijing, Verona and London. Among the laureates of the previous years are Inva Mula, Joyce Didonato, Rolando Willison, Stefan Degu, Nina Stemme, Sonya Yoncheva, Jose Kura, Olga Peretyatko, Aida Garifullina.
