London Court recognized the late Berezovsky by hopeless bankrupt

The judge of the high court London Richard Arnold announced an asset remaining from the late Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky, "hopelessly insolvent." His property is estimated at 34 million pounds (about $ 45 million), while claims of creditors are calculated by hundreds of millions of pounds, Reuters reports.

Such data were given by the judge at the last stage of the process with the participation of proxies of Berezovsky and his former partner Elena Gorbunova. In his resolution, Arnold noted that "proxies decided property claims expressed by Abramovich and Berezovsky lawyer."

The property after paying payments in the bankruptcy, administrative expenses and legal costs is estimated at 34 million pounds, and this is the only asset, despite the fact that the debts to creditors make up hundreds of millions of pounds, quoted by the Judge of the London newspaper Evening Standard .

Another judge of the British court declared Berezovsky uncrediting about 18 months ago, in January 2015.

In 2012, Berezovsky lost several billion pounds after the trial with another Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich. At the end of the same year, a few months before the death of Berezovsky, Gorbunov got involved in lawsuit, complaining that she had not received millions promised to her.

Gorbunova is the third civilian spouse of the businessman, whom he met in the early 1990s. She gave birth to Berezovsky two children - Arina and Gleb. The friend of the family of Alexander Nerozin, who wrote the book “How to remove the oligarch, or who beat Berezovsky,” said in 2016 to the Moscow Komsomol member : “I’m afraid that I can’t say anything about this woman, except for indecent words about her. Therefore, I’d better say nothing.”

The 67-year-old Berezovsky was found dead in the bathroom in the town of Ascot in the county of the Berkshire near London. There was a knot on the neck from a scarf, "another part of the scarf hung from the shower bar." The police find no reason to talk about the involvement of an outsider or persons in his death. The primary pathological and anatomical examination conducted on March 25 showed that the cause of the death of the oligarch was a hanging, there were no traces of the struggle on the body.

It was suggested that the businessman hanged himself due to debts and depression. However, the German forensic expert Bernd Brinkmann, hired by a businessman’s family for an independent investigation, did not agree with such conclusions. In his opinion, the deceased could not hang himself, he was strangled. Moreover, it was previously the examination conducted by Brinkmann that helped establish the fact of the murder of one Italian banker, who was considered a suicide.

As a result, in March 2014, the British coroner issued a verdict about the impossibility to reliably establish the circumstances of the death of Berezovsky.
