According to the chief veterinarian of the Yamalo -Nenets Autonomous Okrug Andrei Listishenko, 63 people will be transported to a safe territory near winter parking lots and provided with products. The source of infection is wild animals and cattle, the disease is not transmitted from humans to humans. Infection occurs in contact, the incubation period of the disease on average lasts three to five days. In 2013, two cases of anthrax were registered in Russia, and seven cases in 2014.
