Rallies against Yarovaya Law

On July 26, the Russian cities will host protests against the "Yarovaya Law" - against the Internet and censorship.

The Moscow rally should begin at 19 o’clock on the Yauz gate square. On the eve of the city hall illegally withdrew the coordination. The organizers of the rally appealed the actions of the city authorities and said that the rally was agreed upon by law, and participation in it is safe.

On Tuesday morning, the Tver District Court of Moscow recognized the refusal to coordinate the rally legal.

Initially, the action was supposed to be held at the monument to Cyril and Methodius on Slavyanskaya Square, near the central office of Roskomnadzor. The city hall proposed to transfer the action to the Yauz gate to the Square with a reduction in the number from two to one thousand people, "in order not to interfere with the movement of pedestrians." The organizers agreed to this proposal.

On July 22, the Moscow authorities said they did not agree on an application , since only one of three organizers signed the consent to change the rally site. However, they delivered new paper to the city hall, with all three signatures, before the expiration of the document submission. After that, the city hall stated that the Yauz gate would take a different event.

In addition to Moscow, rallies and pickets against Yarovaya Law are scheduled in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Kazan, Saratov, Krasnodar, Barnaul, Sochi, Syktyvkar, Kurgan.
