The head of the Federal Customs Service found 10 million rubles, 400 thousand dollars and 300 thousand euros

During a search in the house of the head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) Andrey Belyaninov, about 10 million rubles, 400 thousand dollars and 300 thousand euros were found. It is reported by TASS with reference to an unnamed source. According to him, the origin of this money has not yet been established.

In addition, the investigation establishes the authenticity of collectible pens and works of art found during the search.

• On July 26, searches were carried out at the home of the head of the Federal Customs Service Andrei Belyaninov, his deputies Andrei Strukov and Ruslan Davydov, as well as the president of the Arsenal insurance company Sergei Lobanov, a former adviser to Belyaninov. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that Lobanov is the founder of at least 15 firms whose activities are related to the FCS.
• The searches were carried out in connection with a criminal case on alcohol smuggling involving businessman Dmitry Mikhalchenko and three other people. The case was opened in March 2016 in connection with the discovery of a batch of rare cognac, for which the necessary documents were not issued.
