
Members of the Sasna Tsare group, for a week and a half holding the police base in the Yerevan district of Erebuni, captured four doctors who arrived at the facility to assist the wounded activists. This was reported by Radio Azatutyun with reference to the head of the press service of the police of Armenia Ashot Akharonyan. According to the Ministry of Health of the country, two doctors, a nurse and a nurse were captured.
On Wednesday night, police officerswounded four activists at the base. Two - father and son Paul and Aram Manukyan - were hospitalized in serious condition. The opposition were operated on, however, as Tert.am reports , the Manukyan Sr. will be connected to the artificial respiration apparatus for a long time; His life is in danger. Meanwhile, Aram Manukyan became better - if he had been in serious condition before, now he is in a state of moderate severity. He has already been disconnected from the artificial respiration apparatus.
Meanwhile, two more wounded at night, as well as an activist who was injured on July 17, when capturing the base, remain at the facility. Relatives, according to Akhanonyan, called for the injured doctors to be transferred to Wednesday, and the police, according to the security forces, provided all the necessary conditions for this.
Nevertheless, activists refused to release their comrades and demanded to bring doctors to the base. However, they stated that the condition of the wounded is serious. When the brigade arrived, Akhanonyan claims, they refused to release it from the object.
Later on Wednesday, the representative of the opposition "Constituent Parliament" Alek Yenighyan denied the statement of Akhanonyan, calling him the next propaganda lie of the security forces. “The guys do not hold anyone hostage,” he emphasized. “They only want the medical presence there to be long and in the form of duty to replace this brigade for the other team of doctors.”
The day before, on the night of July 26, the police wounded two Sasna Tsrer activists - Ashota Petrosyan and Ovannes Harutyunyan. Both were taken to the Erebuni hospital. Later on the same day, the wounded, in a state of moderate severity, was charged with the capture of buildings and the illegal turnover of weapons. After that, Petrosyan and Harutyunyan were arrested for two months. They were transported from a civil hospital to prison.
On Tuesday evening, opposition supporters arranged a rally on Khorenaci Street, and then began a procession. In the action, despite the warning of the police about the "illegality" of mass events near the captured base, up to 12 thousand people took part. Among the slogans chanted the Manifestants were the following: "Serge, go away!" (Serge Sargsyan, President of Armenia. - Ed.), "Free Independent Armenia", "Sasna Crera", "Join!"
Oppositionists walked marching past the buildings of the police department and national security services, and then returned to Khorenatsi Street. During the procession, they restore the telephone connection with the activists "Sasna Tsrer" at the base. The police did not fulfill the requirement. Meanwhile, the cordon near the captured object was strengthened.
At night, mass detentions began on Khorenatsi Street. According to the security forces, 64 people got into the police on suspicion of illegal turnover of weapons. 63 of them were later released, and against one they opened the case. It is claimed that the activist found a home -made pistol.
Akhanonyan stated at night that two activists of Sasna Tsrer - Gagik Egiazaryan and Aram Akopyan - surrendered to the security forces. Confirmation of this by the opposition, as far as is known, has not yet been received.
According to TERT.AM, 24 activists of 31 participated in the seizure of the facility remain on the basis.
