In Moscow, two students of the music school from St. Petersburg-Violetta Mikhailov and Lyubov Startsev were detained in Manezhnaya Square for a game on Gusli and Domra. It is reported by the Notepad.
One of the girls needed to collect some money for a return ticket to St. Petersburg, she did not manage to enter a music educational institution in Moscow. To do this, they decided how often musicians do it all over the world, play on the gusls and domra on the street.
After some time, police officers arrived at the Manezhnaya Square and took the girls to the police department of the Kitay-Gorod region. Musical instruments were seized from students and drew up a protocol on an administrative offense for organizing a mass stay of citizens in public places (Articles 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). After that, the girls were released and summoned to court on August 10, they face a fine of up to 10,000 rubles.
The musicians did not expect such a development of events (Violetta Mikhailov in an interview with the journalist of the “Notepad”):
This is some kind of absurdity. We violated the law, yes, we agree. But we did nothing bad. I do not understand what is happening in the country: drunkards are a fine of 500 rubles, and harmless girls are even worse. Is it adequate?
