In Russia, there is a massive movement of opponents of genetic engineering - they believe that modified products lead to terrible mutations and incurable diseases. Their conclusions are supported by domestic businessmen and power, but not a scientific community

- In the whole galaxy there is a war of two civilizations - a bright path of development, creation and a dark path - parasitization. Now for social parasites, the tops of the world government, there are processes that they cannot control. The parasites said: “We know that our time is over. - How is this due to genetically modified food? - We return it to the mundane topic of our conversation.

-The last 30-50 years, parasites have been trying to organize some processes to reduce the level of evolutionary development of our civilization. For this, many traps were invented, and one of them was GMO. The use of these organisms leads to death, illness, suffering.

-Now in Russia, the cultivation and breeding of GMOs have legislatively banned. Is this not enough?

- They were forbidden to grow wheat, corn with GMOs. Believe me, in addition to wheat and other things, there are a lot of chemistry: there are special fertilizers from the Monsanto, which all change genetically, a GMO-body for birds is produced and so on. This is a whole direction, supposedly for extracting super -entered, but the real goal is to reduce the population on Earth. I think mortality in Moscow and St. Petersburg is many times higher than everything that was before. All medicine, all hypermarkets are a way of conducting modern hybrid wars, ”the book publisher Ptashkin draws apocalyptic paintings.

He owns exclusive rights to the publication of the works of Nikolai Levashov, one of the opposition pillars “harmful” achievements of progress from GMO products to children's vaccination, and considers himself a student of the deceased-Levashov died in June 2012. According to his supporters, he was killed by dark forces with the help of genetic weapons.

According to the VTsIOM survey, more than 80% of Russians consider food with GMOs harmful. One of the respondents believes that such food leads to mutations and infertility, causes cancer and generally harm health, but most call GMO products harmful without any explanation. Perhaps this is just the fear of the unknown - only a third of Russians remembers that there are genes in all plants, and not only in the "genetically modified", the NIU survey shows .

They constantly write about the terrible danger of GMOs for people in newspapers, broadcast from TV screens, they say at the official level.

“More and more often in the world here and here, exclamations of scientists arise that genetically modified products affect the reproductive function of a person and can ultimately become a certain way to regulate the population on the planet,” and these are the words of Maxim Mishchenko’s young politician on a round table organized in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation in November 2012. The meeting participants came to the conclusion that the GMO may pose a threat to national security.

The teachings of Levashov, REN TVs and round tables in the OP of the Russian Federation, in addition to the topic, are united by one common moment, or rather, personality - biologist Irina Vladimirovna Ermakova.

“We have a serious specialist in Russia - Irina Ermakova. When the movers from Moscow met her, in our country, the results of her experiments were silent greatly before the public, ”Ptashkin recalls. After public meetings with Levashov, Ermakova actively appears on television and radio, writes articles and makes reports at thematic conferences. If you reduce hundreds of her performances and publications to one thought, it will be: "GMO - a weapon of genocide."

At first glance, her biography speaks of solid scientific experience. Having graduated from the Biofak of Moscow State University in the late 1970s, after a few years, Ermakova defended his thesis, and in 2001 he became a doctor of biological sciences. Until September 2010, she was a researcher at the Institute of Higher Nervous Activities and Neurophysiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The press is usually represented as an expert on environmental and food security.

The aura of solidity begins to pale if Ermakova’s public statements carefully. A boring multi-hour discussion in the discussion club of the people's liberation movement suddenly acquires a new dimension: the first people were female hermaphrodites, and men-modified women, shares a biologist with patriots. In her opinion, there is now a surge in the birth rate of hermaphrodites, which is associated with GM card-a gene is introduced into its genotype, launching the development of sexual male organs. The technology of GMOs, apparently, was created by aliens to reduce or destroy humanity - this is a fragment of another speech. The Earth could be created as a certain model for experiments, thinks Ermakov in one of the television show REN TV.

It becomes clear why Levashov appreciated this woman so - a supporter of the theory of a hollow moon, by the power of thought allegedly stopping hurricanes, found a soul mate in her. Ermakova has a lot in common and with another person - the face of the anti -Vaccinator movement Galina Chervonskaya. Miraculously in our rather patriarchal country there was a place for two women-scientists who interrupted their careers to become the herald of movements that deny recognized scientific truths.

With particular cruelty

“You will understand what GMO is when you get married, and your wife will not be able to get pregnant in any way, or she will have constant miscarriages.” This is a disaster, we have lines in alternative fertilization centers, traditionally people can no longer conceive children! By the age of 30, your health will be bad, the kidneys, liver will refuse, there will be problems with blood. Everyone will be dumped on the ecology, but in fact-these are GM products! - promises Irina Ermakova to the correspondent TD.

“Genetically modified organisms do not act immediately, they have an inconspicuous, stretched effect in time,” continues one of the most famous public opponents of the GMO. “There are two or three years to become a complete disabled person, and to do the offspring of fruitless.” I conducted research on rats, for one year we observed three generations and saw terrible pathologies: more than half of the offspring was uncertain, part was underdeveloped, and everyone was fruitless - it is interrupted to correct the tightly sitting sunglasses and take a sip of black coffee.

-And in this coffee shop, they definitely do not use GM raw materials?

- How do I know? And coffee can be modified, and anything. There is Rospotrebnadzor, they must check it. But the law only entered into force, ”Ermakova answers measuredly. Her speech is saturated with bright frightening images: she compares GMOs in food with mercury, “only worse”, and the body of the body with a computer, in which unnecessary details cannot be stuck. He repeats the thesis again that NATO considers GMO as a biological weapon.

-Why arrange some wars, launch atomic bombs? You can just start the product - it's cheap, it is a lot, the people will simply stop breeding, people will hurt and die. Not at once, like from the virus, but in 10-20 years. The territory will be released without unnecessary effort, - the woman is indignant.

- Have there been cases in your practice when GMOs caused irreparable harm to people, and not rats?

-Yes, I remember, I performed on the radio, and a woman-vegetarian called. She said that she was very actively ate GM-Soom. After two or three years, she became a complete disabled person. Now GMOs have been introduced into bakery products, meat, dairy, but it ate a GM product in its pure form, and many organs were affected by it.

- We do not understand, for us it is very strange that they will be so easy to poison. But after all, the Ukrainians on whom bombs flew were also sure that this would not happen, - suddenly changes the topic of Ermakov. - They lived the same way as we: studied, married, gave birth, engaged in business. And they began to destroy them with particular cruelty. Yanukovych once decided to abandon GMOs, and this caused a negative reaction from America. Maybe this was the impetus of these processes.

From Ukraine, we are expected to move on to an international agenda. Irina Vladimirovna cites Hillary Clinton, who allegedly told how Ukraine will enter the European Union, and then the United States of Europe will be created.

“There is even a map of future states, where Russia, by the way, is divided into small states - Muscovy, the United States of Siberia ... GMOs - the perfect weapon to make this plan,” the opponent of genetic engineering is burning.

- There is a difficult situation. The Americans actively ate these GMOs, hence American obesity, oncology, infertility. It was without reason that they took our children for adoption! America first checks everything on its own population - on its own, they ran into vitamins for pregnant women who led to the uglies of children. This is a country of immigrants, and they don’t care what is happening with their population - these are extinct, others will come. Therefore, they have a skew towards the dark -skinned population - some died out, and a stream from Africa went - puts a fat point in our conversation between Ermakov.

The main argument of the biologist, with whom you can rationally argue, is an experiment with laboratory rats that ate GM-Soom and terribly suffered. At one time, he made a noise not only in Russia, but also in the West. This is the only study by Ermakova published in a reviewed scientific journal - Nature Biotechnology. On his pages a little later, Ermakov was accused of a number of gross errors during the experiment. The biologist itself blames in blocking her research of lobbyists from the Monsanto transnational corporation, a world leader in commercial biotechnologies.

“The works of Ermakova are the nonsense of the blue mare,” says the director of the Institute of Nutrition of the RAMS, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Viktor Tutelyan emotionally. - A person makes himself a publicity. She fed rats with dry soy, voluntarily not a single rat would eat it. There was no proper observance of the experiment, as I wanted, they did it! As a result, a little -known scientist became popular. In Europe and other countries, it is not allowed anywhere, but here it is still scary people.

The harmfulness of GMOs has not been confirmed by any serious experience, ”the scientist notes. - In our RAS and in Rospotrebnadzor, all the latest methods for finding a black cat in a black room. We know that it is not there, but we are looking for it, we are trying to find the slightest changes from the use of GMOs. This is painstaking and serious work. Of course, when we found out that the GMOs did not affect three generations of animals, we heard: “Or maybe it will be at the seventh?” To prove that I am not a camel - we dismiss, ”Tutelian is indignant.

His words are confirmed by dry data: “In 2014, in the journal Critical Reviews in Biotechnology, a review of 1783 scientific works published over the past 10 years and dedicated to the GMOs was published. Of these, 770 are devoted to the study of the effects of GM products on people and animals. The article concludes that there are no scientific evidence of the toxicity of the GM-School approved for the sale, ”writes the famous Russian biologist Alexander Pankchin in the book“ The Summer of Biotechnology ”.

Punchin also explains the possible cause of terrible rat deaths in the Ermakova laboratory: fresh soy is poisonous and requires heat treatment, if it does not break, animals will be bad even from the most natural seeds.

There are enough studies proving the harmlessness of GMOs, but there are no convincing examples of the opposite, the doctor of biological sciences, prominent scientific figure Mikhail Gelfand, emphasizes. “There was an isolated case when the Brazilian walnut gene was transplanted in Soy, and its use could cause cross -allergic reactions in people. But it was quickly tracked, and the variety did not go into production. Such things are always watched, this is not something terrible, ”the scientist adds.

According to him, many GMs could solve serious food problems. “Papaya almost all recently died out, except for GMs. But this is not the most vital fruit, and we are not very close, but another example is bananas. All the traditional varieties that are now in the Russian market are very close genetically, and if any disease suddenly appears, they will all die out at once, ”Gelfand lists.

The fight against GMOs interferes with a very important and useful business - the eradication of blindness, annually affecting hundreds of thousands of people, the expert draws attention to the open letter of 107 Nobel Prize laureates to the International Greenperap.

“We urge Greenpeace and its supporters to carefully study the world experience of farmers and consumers of products improved with the help of biotechnology, to recognize the conclusions of authoritative scientific organizations and regulatory agencies and stop our campaign against GMO as a whole and golden rice in particular,” the letter from June 29 this year said. Thanks to the genetic modification in golden rice, there is beta-carotene that helps to replenish the need of a person in vitamin A-a deficiency of this vitamin due to extremely scarce nutrition annually leads to irreversible blindness of about 500 thousand people (mainly children) in the poorest countries of Asia and Africa.

GMO in crooked mirrors

It is easy to count the views of radical opponents with GMOs with the delirium of a madman, especially since part of the work of the same Levashov, for example, “Russia in curved mirrors” is included in the federal list of extremist materials. Occultist, neopagan, academician of four unknown academies and a radical nationalist is generally a rather marginal figure. But even if you write down 30 thousand participants in the head community of Levashovtsy in VKontakte, opponents of genetic engineering methods can be found at the highest level.

At the end of June 2016, the ban on GMO became legislative-along with the “Yarovaya Package” and dozens of other laws and amendments, the State Duma banned the cultivation and breeding of “genetically engine-modified plants and animals” in Russia, making an exception for scientific papers.

“My reaction to this law was the same as all the laws that the Duma adopted recently -“ idiots ”. The question of why they continue to adopt such strange laws is to psychologists, ”Gelfand comments.

In the summer of 2014, rumors appeared about the ban on GMOs, then an open letter to the Ministry of Education and Science with a demand to abandon this idea was signed by 300 scientists, of which 150 with degrees on biology and medicine. Soon the answer came from the department. “They wrote that they support biotechnologies and opposed such strange initiatives of individual deputies. And six months later, the ministry itself introduced this project to the government, and it is already to the Duma. I then asked the chairman of the Science Committee Academician Chereshnev how he could vote for this. At first he hesitated, and then he said: “It’s not me voted, but my card,” the scientist recalls.

A year later, Gelfand got to a meeting of the Duma Committee on Science: “I also asked that they all happened to them with their heads, and the representative of the Ministry of Education and Science Mr. Matveev, who signed the answer to scientists, officially confirmed that the ministry had no information about the dangers of GMOs, and the project was developed only for food security reasons.”

According to Gelfand, such considerations, to put it mildly, are inept and will only lead to an increase in dependence on imports. “If you carefully read the text, the import remains at the discretion of the government. But we destroy the whole high -tech industry. Yes, for experimental purposes, GMOs can be continued to be explored, but it is unlikely that anyone will do this-you will not develop technology just like that, for your own curiosity to display a new variety if it certainly does not go to the series. It is pointless. "

Она расстроена, что теперь чаще придется есть пищу без ГМО: «Я лично люблю знать, что конкретно я ем, всегда внимательно изучаю состав продуктов и лекарств, которые употребляю. И мне очень горько от того, что придется все чаще есть растительную пищу, про которую я не знаю, чем конкретно ее поливали. А про ГМ-продукты это как раз известно, за ними строго следят, и документация их полнее, чем у не-ГМО».

Если истерия будет нарастать, научное отставание станет необратимым, резюмирует академик Тутельян: «Запрет на выращивание генно-модифицированных растений надо рассматривать как временную предупредительную меру. Любая новая технология, особенно технология крупномасштабная, требует строжайшей дисциплины — этот запрет заставит сельскохозяйственников пересмотреть свой подход к биотехнологиям, поэтому я к нему отношусь спокойно. Главное, что не тормозятся научные исследования, если будет наложен запрет на это — мы отстанем, и навсегда».

«ГМО — способ монополизации рынков посредством вытеснения малых ферм и поставщиков семян и причина исчезновения регионального биоразнообразия за счет универсализации и глобализации семенного рынка, что представляет угрозу для возрождения сельских территорий и устойчивого развития малых ферм», — излагает свою точку зрения создатель фермерского кооператива LavkaLavka Борис Акимов.

Недавно он принимал участие в заседании Продовольственной и сельскохозяйственной организации ООН , темой которого было развитие сельских территорий и поддержка биоразнообразия в мире. Акимова можно назвать представителем умеренной части движения противников ГМО — он подчеркивает, что не может спорить с учеными о вреде ГМ-пищи, но готов поспорить о рисках для фермерства.

Серьезная претензия к ГМО — монополия на рынке трансгенных семян, в основном поделенном между глобальными корпорациями вроде той же «Монсанто». Фермер также не согласен с утверждениями о высокой урожайности и дешевизне ГМ-сортов: «Это может быть на определенной территории в определенный отрезок времени. Но есть примеры, в Штатах в первую очередь, когда через три-четыре года эти преимущества теряются, и себестоимость продукта растет и становится даже выше, чем при использовании традиционных семян. Поэтому это палка о двух концах, и однозначно сказать нельзя».

У Акимова есть программа развития органического земледелия в России.

«У нас сельскохозяйственных земель, выведенных из оборота, 40 миллионов гектаров — значит, там давно не применяются химия и пестициды. Это просто кладезь для органического земледелия! Что касается климатических зон, у нас полным-полно земель, расположенных в благоприятных условиях: юг России, Черноземье. Да и если мы возьмем Скандинавию какую-нибудь с похожим климатом — там все прекрасно», — описывает фермер.

Биоразнообразие помогает природе противостоять заболеваниям, еще раз подчеркивает Акимов. И это важнее, чем эгоистичные интересы отдельного едока.

«Часто бывает так, что ученые, защищающие ГМО, об этом не думают. Мы не спорим с тем, что они делают интересное и важное дело, но к ним примыкают люди, которые вообще не очень разбираются в проблеме, и им кажется, что если ученый что-то говорит, то он всегда прав. Такая бездумная религиозная вера в прогресс и в науку. Но наука от этого не становится более научной. А так, и среди защитников ГМО есть хорошие симпатичные люди — пусть они их исследуют, в общем, флаг им в руки», — добродушно усмехается основатель фермерского кооператива.

Ты то, что ты ешь

Сложно найти проблему важнее и значимее, чем организация качественного питания — мы пытаемся решить ее ежедневно и ежечасно, каждый в зависимости от своего достатка и разумения. Но что считать качественной едой в век массового производства? Миллионы бройлеров, выращенных в фабричных условиях, йогурты с красителями из измельченных жуков, сыры из пальмового масла, творог, вспыхивающий как керосин, — веками люди ели совсем другую пищу, называемую сейчас зеленой, органической или «биопродуктами». Консерванты, антиоксиданты, стабилизаторы, эмульгаторы, усилители вкуса и аромата и даже антибиотики — лишь малая часть химических добавок, которые можно найти в еде на полках холодильника любого современного человека.

Венцом искусственной еды, ее главным оплотом и «звездой смерти» в общественном сознании считается генетически модифицированная пища: фрукты и овощи с измененным генотипом или животные, выращенные с помощью трансгенных кормов. Но вот парадокс — за крайне редкими исключениями научное сообщество на стороне ГМО. Биологи, генетики, эксперты по экологии, с которыми удалось пообщаться ТД, в один голос твердят, что не следует бояться новых технологий.

Но сердце сложно обмануть. Иногда вместо постылой еды из супермаркета так хочется купить у бабушки сочных помидоров и хрустящих огурцов, сделать из них нехитрый салат и не торопясь есть его, ощущая, как в кровь вместе с витаминами вливается свежесть деревенского утра и бодрящий холодок деревенских ночей.
