Activists "Sasna Tsrer" surrendered to the security forces

Activists of the Sasna Tsare detachment, who held the police base in the Yerevan district of Erebun for two weeks, surrendered to the security forces. This was reported by Radio Azatutyun with reference to the national security service of Armenia.

In total, 20 people were detained. The base is again under the control of the security forces.

A little earlier, the “First Armenian Information” was published by the Sasna Tsrer statement, transferred by a member of the detachment by Varuzhan Avetisyan. It explained the decision of the detachment to surrender to the authorities.

"In recent days, the police adhered to the strategy of breaking the fighters through injuries to their feet, and today our comrade was wounded in the chest of a sniper shot," the document says. The number of the detachment has significantly decreased, activists note.

Last night, reported in the statement further, the security forces made an assault on the base. “They dumped the wall with the car, stopped,” the team members write. “Then, based on some considerations, we started negotiations.”

On Sunday, the base was subjected to intensive shelling, and noise bombs were thrown into its territory. After that, the security forces on the armored vehicles invaded the object.

“We have two options: the first - to enter the battle with the police and employees of other services, spilling the blood of people who have little relation to the regime, and the second - to refrain from bloodshed and become prisoners of war,” the activists continue.

The purpose of the action was achieved - protests began in the country, the document says. Now, in order to prevent new sacrifices, the members of the detachment decided to stop armed resistance and continue the struggle in the status of prisoners of war. “The revolutionaries find themselves in prisons, then they come out winners,” the activists say. “This is also one of the ways of struggle.”

“Our people must fight,” the statement emphasizes. “We will not allow our country to become a Russian province.”

“We feel that the victory is close, and we urge the Armenian people to make a decision,” the document also said.

Sephilyan, activists noted, have already agreed to participate in the negotiations. “We ask Serge Sargsyan to accept this reasonable proposal, to ensure the meeting of Zhirair Sephilyan with us and also accept his negotiation mission,” the document said. “Otherwise, all responsibility for possible bloodshed will be entrusted to Serge Sargsyan.”

At the same time, the Sasna Crere turned to the people with a request to “do everything possible” so that Sargsyan agrees to the demand of the detachment. This was noted by activists, it is necessary "in order to avoid senseless bloodshed."

Later, information was received thatshots and explosions were periodically heard on the basis. Activist Sedrak Nazaryan during the operation of the security forces was injured in the chest. He was taken to the hospital and operated on.

Residents of the village of Stepanyan, Syunik region, from where the Nazaryans came from, in protest, blocked the highway connecting Armenia and Iran. A traffic jam has formed a few hundred meters long. It was reported that the inspectors of the road service are trying to resolve the situation.

According to the detainees, there are three more activists who would like to surrender, but they could not join Grigoryan and Molkonyan.

Meanwhile, the activist of Sasna Creer Pavel Manukyan,seriously wounded on the night of July 27 , was arrested on Sunday for two months. Manukyan was brought to the court from the Erebuni hospital on a stretcher. After the meeting, the activist was taken to a prison hospital. At the trial, the activist said that he did not plead guilty.
