
A group of extremists attacked the Bai Hassan oil storage in the northwestern city of Kirkuk (Iraqi Kurdistan). As TASS reports with reference to the Iraqi channel "As-Sumaria", several oil reservoirs were blown up by the attackers. According to reports, the Iraqi security forces managed to destroy three militants who participated in the attack.

Earlier on Sunday, suicide bombers stormed a gas compressor station 15 km from Kirkuk. As a result of the attack, four station employees were killed, two guards were injured and are in critical condition.
Later there were reports of the termination of the export of raw materials from the oil fields of Bai-Hassan on a highway passing through the territory of Iraqi Kurdistan to the Turkish city of Jahan.
