Representatives of the Ukrainian consulate cannot meet with Sentsov and Kolchenko

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that for a long time representatives of the consulate could not meet with film director Oleg Sentsov and anti-fascist Oleksandr Kolchenko sentenced to 20 and 10 years in prison in the “Crimean Terrorists Case”.

“The Embassy and consular offices of Ukraine in Russia for a long time (more than 2-3 months) are expected to receive more than 20 permits from the Russian competent authorities to meet with our compatriots. In particular, so far no permission has been received from the Russian side to visit Ukrainian citizens Sentsov and Kolchenko, who were illegally convicted on trumped-up charges.” This was reported by the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its Facebook page.
