The Ministry of Defense of Egypt announced the death of Abu Dua al-Ansari, the leader of the Ansar Bayt al-Makdis group, which Washington and Moscow are considered responsible during the October attack on board the Russian Airbus A321. According to RBC, such information is published on the FB page of the department. The publication says that Abu Dua and about 45 militants were killed as a result of a airline.

Fox News reports that sources in American intelligence confirmed the death of Abu Dua.

As noted, "Ansar byte al -Makdis" is the former name of the group. After her oath to the Islamic State, she took the name “Vilayat Sinai”.

The plane of Kogalymavia, flying from Sharm-Esh-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed in the morning on October 31, 2015 near the Airport of the city of El-Arish on the Sinai Peninsula.
