The International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially allowed the Russian swimmer Julia Efimov to participate in the games that started on August 5 in Rio de Janeiro, TASS reports with reference to the head of the Olympic delegation of Russia Igor Kazikov.

According to him, the delegation received a letter from the IOC, which confirms the permission for Efimova to participate in the Olympics. “At the moment, swimmers are received today receive accreditation. Therefore, they do not have time to take part in the opening ceremony, ”said Kazikov.

In addition to Efimova, the games were allowed four more previously distant swimmers - Natalya Lynzova, Daria Ustinova, Mikhail Dovgalyuk and Anastasia Krapivin.
