The Rostov Regional Council left unchanged verdict to the citizen of Ukraine Sergey Litvinov, sentenced to eight and a half years of a strict regime in a fabricated case of robbery. Such information is transmitted by Radio Liberty with reference to Viktor Parshutkin, Politzek’s lawyer.
Now Parshutkin will file a complaint about the sentence to his client in the ECHR.
The lawyer also said that the Prosecutor General of Russia, at the request of Litvinov, sent in June, brought the Politzeck apology for the persecution of allegations of murders and war crimes. On these charges, which were subsequently removed, the Ukrainian spent almost 11 months in prison, before they began to fabricate the robbery case against him.
Journalist Anton Naumluk - also with reference to Parshutkina - reports that Litvinov filed a lawsuit against Russia, in which he demands to pay him 3.3 million rubles as compensation for non -pecuniary damage for unreasonable maintenance in jail, as well as for the use of torture, the fact of which was confirmed by an examination conducted during the investigation.
In June, it was reported that the lawsuit was also supposed to sue the Rossiya TV channel and the presenter Dmitry Kiselev, whom the political prisoner accuses of slander. Whether this application was sent to the court, now it is not specified.
The verdict of Litvinov was sentenced on April 20by the judge of the Tarasovsky district court of the Rostov region Svetlana Shapovalova . She announced the defendant guilty of part 3 of Article 162 of the Russian Criminal Code (large -scale robbery). The process lasted about three months . In the debate of the parties, the prosecutor requested nine years of strict regime for the Ukrainian .
Litvinov is 33 years old, he was born and lived all his life in the village of Kamysnaya Stanichno-Lugansk district of the Lugansk region, located almost on the border with Russia. He graduated from seven classes, worked on a collective farm with a cattle. He never served in the army. Married, there is a 15-year-old daughter. According to his wife, "he does not know how to write or read or count money."
On August 12, 2014, Litvinov, on the advice of his wife, crossed the border to lie down for treatment in the Tarasovsky Central District Hospital in the Rostov Region: the hospital did not work on the Ukrainian side. On August 21, FSB operatives in masks stole a collective farmer from the hospital and tortured in the forest. Then he was delivered to the Rostov insulator, where the torture continued. On August 29, the hostage was accused of murders and war crimes.
The TFR of the arrest of Litvinovannounced only on October 1, 2014. Probably at this time the collective farmer was taken to Moscow. Two weeks later, on October 14, it became known that he was sent for a psychiatric examination .
Initially, part 2 of Article 105 (murder; sanction up to the death penalty) and part 1 of Article 356 of the Russian Criminal Code (the application of prohibited means and methods of warfare; up to 20 years of the colony) were charged with Litvinov. According to the initial plot of the case, the collective farmer was a fighter of the Battalion of the Ukrainian National Guard Dnipro and in this capacity committed mass murders in the Stanicho-Lugansk district, the victims of which were 30 men, 8 women and 1 teenage girl.
Litvinov at first actively collaborated with the investigation, but later declared his innocence and refused to testify. In April 2015, the Parshutkin lawyer independent of the FSB took up the hostage case.
The accusation under the article on robbery was added on July 8, 2015. Parshutkin explained his appearance by the fact that the accusation of Litvinov under Articles 105 and 356 is falling apart . At the end of November, the case against the collective farmer under these articles was really terminated on rehabilitating grounds .
As a result, Litvinov was accused of being in the Stanichno-Lugansk district, along with two unidentified Ukrainian military, he abducted two used cars from a resident of the Rostov region Andrei Lysenko. The “victim” Lysenko was the only witness to the prosecution at the same time.
At the same time, the accused insisted that Lysenko had never seen at all; He emphasized the same in his last word. Parshutkin, for his part, presented documents indicating that one of the cars was really put on the wanted list in Ukraine, but he belongs to a resident of the Luhansk region, and not a Russian citizen. The second car, according to the Ukrainian traffic police, is located in Lugansk and was never abducted at all.
On May 11, the Memorial human rights center recognized Litvinov as political prisoner .
