Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff Viktor Muzhenko called the accusations of fire support during the battle from Ukrainian territory absurd.
“This is complete nonsense and does not correspond to reality. Fire was not opened from artillery systems or other weapons. This can be confirmed by any serviceman and resident of that territory, because the sounds of artillery shelling can be heard at a considerable distance,” Muzhenko said.
