Google Chrome will stop supporting Adobe Flash in September

In May of this year, Google announced the gradual termination of Adobe Flash technology in the Chrome browser. A few months later, the developers of the popular browser clarified the terms of refusing Flash in favor of HTML5, publishing an appropriate message on the project blog .

According to Google, in September of this year, 53 version of the Chrome browser will be released, which will block the entire Flash content, including secondary tools that are located on the pages of sites for analytics and other purposes. According to representatives of the company, such tools make up about 90% of the total Flash content on the network. This lock will accelerate the loading of pages and extend the battery life of laptops in web surf mode.

In December, the company intends to release 55 version of Chrome, which will completely switch to HTML5. However, for sites fully created using Flash, a slight exception will be made, and users will be able to turn on the desired plugin at the first visit to them.

Recall that in July, the developers of the browser of Mozilla Firefox also announced the plans for the refusal of Flash.

Adobe Flash is the technology that has been available to Adobe as a result of the acquisition of Macromedia in 2005. It allows you to create multimedia interactive content with animation and sound on web pages. On the basis of Flash, sites were previously very often created. Games are also based on this technology. At the same time, according to Symantec, Flash studies - a product with the largest number of “holes” from existing in the market, along with Adobe Acrobat.
