Ivanov was removed from the post of head of the presidential administration

Sergey Ivanov was removed from the post of head of the presidential administration. Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is published on the Kremlin website.

By the same decree, Ivanov was appointed special representative of the President on environmental activities, ecology and transport.

According to the information on the Kremlin’s website, the last time Ivanov, as the head of the AP, took part in a meeting with President Vladimir Putin on August 11, when a meeting was held with members of the Security Council.

Sergei Ivanov headed the presidential administration in December 2011. Prior to this, since 2008 he served as deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, where he oversaw issues of military industry.

In 2001, Ivanov was appointed Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, since 1999 he has been part of the Council of People's Commissars of the Russian Federation, for several years Ivanov headed this structure. Before the arrival in the Council of People's Commissars, Ivanov worked in the FSB, in 1998 he was appointed Deputy Director of the Special Service.
