On the Primorsky Boulevard of Odessa, a parade of participants in the Odessarid-2016 Quir-Culture festival was held, the local publication "Dumskaya" reports . About 50 people took part in it.

Participants in the equality march passed from the monument to Duke de Richelieu to the building of the Odessa City Council. After the procession, they left by bus, accompanied by the police.

The action was guarded by about 200 police officers. They completely cordoned off the territory where the march was passing.

At the end of the procession, a group of young people tried to interfere with its holding. The attack was prevented by police special forces. Ten attackers were quite harshly detained and taken by bus to the regional police department.

The attackers introduced themselves to the members of the Sokol organization. It positions itself as "the youth public organization of sports and patriotic youth, which is not indifferent to the fate of the White race and the national idea."

Prior to this, the Odessa District Administrative Court for the lawsuit of the City Council prohibited street shares within the framework of the Odesseprade-2016 festival. However, in the evening of Friday, LGBT activists submitted a second application for a march with a total number of 300 people. The authorities did not have time to challenge her.

Equality marches in Ukraine are accompanied by attempts by nationalists to interfere with the action. In June, about 1,500 people took part in Kiev in Kiev. Among them were foreign diplomats and politicians. The march itself has become an action in defense of all discriminated categories of citizens. Its main slogan was the "human rights - the security of the country."

The police detained 57 people who tried to disrupt the action.
