Five children from the Cheremkhovo boarding school remain in intensive care

Five children from the Cheremkhovo boarding school remain in intensive care, in total twenty -six pupils of the institution were hospitalized, Oleg Salagai, official representative of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, said on Sunday. In the morning it became known about the death of another girl - she became the fourth child who died due to infection in the boarding school.

"Currently, 26 children from the Cheremkhovsky neuropsychiatric boarding school remain in the Irkutsk Regional Infectious Department, five of them in intensive care. An individual post has been established for each child," Salagai said on Sunday.

He also noted that the Ministry of Health of the Irkutsk Region is additionally sent to a pediatrician and an infectious disease specialist who observe children in constant mode. During the observation, three pupils found mild signs of intestinal disease. It was decided to transfer them to Irkutsk. On Sunday, the deputy director of the Department of Medical Assistance to Children and the State Health of the Ministry of Health of Russia Olga Chumakova, as well as the leading employee of the Research Institute of Children's infections, will fly to Irkutsk.

From July 24 to August 11, the N1 Cheremkhovo hospital was hospitalized with the symptoms of intestinal infection of 26 pupils of the Cheremkhovsky Psychoneurological boarding school. All children have serious congenital pathologies, do not go and do not talk.

On August 5, one of the sick, an eight -year -old girl, died. The death of the child came from an infectious-toxic shock caused by dysentery. On August 11, the second pupil died - a girl born in 2010. The cause of death is the innate pathology of the brain. The next day, August 12, the third pupil, also a five -year -old girl, died.

On the fact of mass infection and death of children, four criminal cases were instituted - three under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("causing death by negligence due to improper performance of professional duties"), and one more - under article 293 ("negligence").
