The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), together with the sports arbitration court (CAS), closed the doors for the last hope of Russian athletes at the Olympics in the Rio - jumping in the length of Daria Klisina, who lives and trains abroad. They referred to some "new information".

On August 14, the only Russian athlete Daria Klisina, who was allowed to the Olympic Games in Rio, was removed from the competition. This happened at the last moment before her performance. The athlete appealed to CAS, the complaint will be considered within a day. Despite the removal from the games, Klina remains in the Olympic village.

“I am an appeal for today's decision to remove me from the Olympics in Rio and subsequent competitions under the auspices of the association. I am counting on an urgent hearing that should take place this weekend, since the decision on my speech in Rio should be made by the court as quickly as possible.

I am a "pure" athlete, have already proved this many times. Since I have been living in the United States for three years, I have not been checked at all that anti-doping system, whose honesty is in doubt. I became a victim of those who created a system of manipulating our excellent sports and using it for their own purposes.

I will do my best to protect my image of a pure athlete. Now I feel only a devoted system, the purpose of which is not to maintain the purity of sports and the support of ordinary athletes, but the search for victories outside the sports arenas , ”Klavina wrote on her Facebook page.

The representative of the International Olympic Committee, Mark Adams, commented on the development of the situation in the event of Klisina’s victory in the sports arbitration court. “If [Klimina] wins in CAS, then she will need to go through all three steps, like all other Russian athletes,” the R-Sport agency quotes Adams.

Mark Adams emphasized that Klimina would not perform at the 2016 games if her name is found in McLaren's report. In his opinion, in order to remove the athlete from participating in games, just mentioning her name in the notorious report.

In turn, the lawyer Klishina Paul Green said that his ward wants to blame traces of autopsy of the 2013 doping industry. The IOC does not know whether the presence of doping actually showed the presence of doping. The arbitration has to decide whether there are enough McLaren arguments to remove the athlete from the competition.

According to Green, if Klimina were part of a certain “state doping program”, then she would not have been given so easy to leave Russia to train abroad.

The Russian national athletics team was removed from participation in the 2016 Olympics due to the disqualification of the National Federation. On July 21, the Sports Arbitration Court unanimously decided to reject the lawsuit of the Olympic Committee of Russia and domestic athletes to IAAF for removal from games.

At the end of July, the head of the IOC Thomas Bach said that the Russian team to participate in the Olympics in Rio needs to pass a three -stage tolerance filter. The first step is the filter of international federations that can confirm the international tests of each athlete. The second filter-OKR will not be able to add athletes who have ever violated the anti-doping rules. The third filter is the decision of the IOC.

The final of the competition in length among women will be held on August 17.
