The liquidation procedure of the autonomous non-profit organization “Perm-36”, which in the past managed the work of the memorial center of the same name for the history of political repression, has been completed, writes Kommersant-Prikamye.
As the founder of the organization, Viktor Shmyrov, told the publication, the corresponding entry appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on August 10.
The projects that Viktor Shmyrov and Tatyana Kursina were involved in are planned to be implemented abroad. Instead of the museum of political repressions “Perm-36”, a virtual project will be created on the Internet, and the summer school of museology will be held not in Kuchino, where the camp for political prisoners was located, but on the basis of one of the memorial museums in Albania. They want to organize the Pilorama Lab project in the Netherlands.
The museum on the site of a former penal colony for political prisoners was created back in the 90s, and in 2001, the “Memorial Center for the History of Political Repressions “Perm-36”” was created to manage the museum. In 2012, the museum was made state-owned, and all money and buildings were transferred from the ANO to the new leadership. In the spring of 2015, the organization began to have problems: it was added to the list of “foreign agents” and fined 300 thousand rubles (Kursina herself – 100 thousand).
