Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev decided to transfer the privatization of the Bashneft shares “for a later date”. This decision was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Natalya Timakova told Interfax .
When privatization takes place, it is not specified.
On May 17, Putin signed a decree on the exclusion of 50% plus one share of Bashneft from the list of strategic enterprises, which made it possible to privatize this package.
An independent appraiser hired by the government estimated these shares at about 300 billion rubles.
In addition to the Federal Property Management Agency, Bashkiria owns a large package of Bashneft shares - 25% of the authorized capital.
