A traffic police post was attacked in the Moscow region

In the Moscow region, an armed attack was carried out on a traffic police post, a police officer was killed, TASS reports , citing a source in law enforcement agencies.

“The attack was carried out by several unknown people, presumably natives of the North Caucasus. They fired at a traffic police post on Shchelkovskoye Highway,” the source said.

As reports Interfax , citing its sources, the shootout occurred during a document check. According to the agency's interlocutor, as a result of the incident, one person was killed and another was wounded - both were from Central Asia.

In addition, TASS, citing a source in the Investigative Committee , reports that one of the attackers at the traffic police post was killed, the second was detained, and two policemen were wounded.

RIA Novosti reports that the attackers were armed with firearms and axes. According to the agency, both attackers were shot dead.
