On August 17 in Moscow, in front of the building of the permanent representation of the Republic of Karelia under the President of Russia, defenders of the Gold of the White Sea camp, closed by the Karelian authorities after the mass death of children on Syamozero, were planning to hold a picket in support of its arrested director Denis Orlov, reports the Chernika portal .
According to "Chernika", there have never been any pickets near the Karelian representative office. The prefecture of the Central Administrative District of Moscow refused to hold the picket, citing the alleged danger to pedestrians and the lack of space for 40 people. The picket applicants were also unofficially told that the rejection was due to the upcoming elections and that resubmission would also be denied.
