GTSIS announced a program of a training course on the history of contemporary arts

From September 12, 2016 to June 19, 2017, the State Center for Contemporary Art (HCSI) conducts a cycle of lectures “History of Modern Arts”.

The training course will be implemented in the form of copyright cycles of lectures compiled from complementary modules of different lectures on the history of modern arts of the second half of the XX - early XXI century in Russia and abroad:

• Daria Pyrkina, Stepan Vaneyan - "Issues of the methodology for studying contemporary art"
• Alexandra Danilova - "The art of the West of the second half of the twentieth century"
• Vitaly Patsyukov, Anastasia Kozachenko-"Russian art from the late 1950s to the present"
• Marina Kalashnikova - "Architecture and design of the second half of the twentieth century"
• Alexander Pisarev - "The History of Philosophy of the twentieth century and modern aesthetic theories"
• Vladimir Levashov - "History of art photography of the twentieth century"
• Anna Shuvalova - "System of Institutions of Contemporary Art"
• Valery Zolotukhin - "Theater of the second half of the twentieth century"
• Antonio Jeuza- “The History of Alternative Cinema, Video and Media Art from 1960–70 to the present”
• Natalia Goncharova - "History of the performance"
• Katya Ganyushina - "History of modern dance"
• Vladimir Gorlinsky - "History of modern music"

Compared to last year, the cycle has been expanded by modern dance modules, the history of artistic photography from the second half of the twentieth century, the history of the performance and the history of modern music.

Lectures are intended both for students, graduate students, researchers specializing in the field of history and theory of art and art criticism, and for the general public.
