To suspend the activities of political parties, public organizations and mass movements that impede the normalization of the situation ... Conducting rallies, street marches, demonstrations, as well as strikes is not allowed ... to establish control over the media. And now what seemed important: the pride and honor of the Soviet man should be restored in full.
On the calendar again on August 19, and one cannot but admit: the promises are fulfilled. Let it be far from right away, but decisively and with that scrupulousness that implies a well -thought -out and implemented plan. A quarter of a century later, striving for objectivity in the description of historical processes, this should be noted. The minted lines from the "appeal to the Soviet people" and decisions No. 1 composed by the speakers of the putschists sound like a prophecy.
Everything is like written.
There are no more political parties, capable of at least in the slightest measure, that is, to compete with the authorities. It is allowed to rally somewhere in Maryin or in taiga forests, on protected paths, away from human eyes, and even actions dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Victory over the GKChP, it is forbidden to hold where famous events took place. The monitoring of the media is established approximately the same as in the morning of August 19, 1991. Television is captured, central newspapers and magazines coordinate the general direction and individual texts with the presidential administration, and the disloyal press, with the rare exception, is actually driven underground. Unless the "echo of Moscow" is still broadcasting, as in the days of the coup. Fronterly television channel "Rain" - only by subscription.
The honor and pride of the Soviet man are restored one hundred percent. Well, maybe 88%, but no less. He got up from his knees and took the revenge for all the defeats that he suffered after the traitors of Gorby and Yeltsin kicked him out of the concentration camp. Having lived in the wild, he returned to the den again, wherever he lived. At least in the West, where the signals of federal television channels and other Rushi Tuei also reach. Having lost the communist faith, he again gained the meaning of life. Indifferent to such a look, but deep meaning.
He became a hero, and in all generations - both when grandfathers fought, and when great -great -grandfathers. And when he kills and dies today, mating with the State Department in Georgia, in Syria, in Ukraine. He now knows that he lives not in vain, he will kill not in vain and die not in vain, our dear post -Soviet Russian man.
The sovereign dreams of the failed conspirators were realized so punctually that again the most wild conspiracy theories come into fashion. Like, this was the plan of the insidious Chekists of the second row, and before that insidious that Kryuchkov himself turned out to be a limp puppet in their hands. First, they say, they introduced democracy, inflated prices and sold the country, transferring property to the Komsomol members and other improvised parties, and then, when the people in such democracy were very disappointed, they drove Putin and built a new empire on the fragments of autocracy. And then the people were disappointed again applauded authoritarian power and with him, enchanted forever, now you can do whatever you want.
Within the framework of this theory, Yeltsin also turns out to be a participant in the conspiracy, who, at the right day and an hour, has seen the heir of glorious affairs in the director of the FSB, and people who defended the White House for three days and two nights appear with gullible suckers. We were deceived like poor Kryuchkov with a quivering Yanaev, and it would be time to recognize them, together with us, deceived by the equity holders of the August rebellion. The victims of the political farce, which turned around - for the country and for the world - a full -fledged tragedy.
This theory is harmonious and, as it were, is irrefutable, since it seems to be based on causal relationships and the vile rationality of being. However, this is her weakness and meanness in relation to the real heroes of the August Revolution. Among which were Boris Nikolaevich, his associates, and hundreds of thousands of people in Moscow alone, who went to the barricades. Conspirology is opposed by memory, and it is not only about witnesses of time - both in the squares of large cities, and in the White House, and in the Kremlin, and in the Lubyanka. And not only about those who gave life for freedom - about Dmitry Komara, Ilya Krichevsky, Vladimir Usov. We are talking about historical experience and how political plots are developing. On the unpredictable consequences of any, even perfectly organized coups and about the laws that determine the winners in large and small civil wars.
25 years ago, it turned out that the Soviet Union in the form in which the country lasted for exhaustingly long decades, could not exist anymore. Perestroika was very risky, but probably the only opportunity to reform and save the dying empire. The putty destroyed this country. And then other historical mechanisms and trends turned on, which can still be called traditional. For example, the habit deeply rooted in people to attach the legs to everything that lies badly, in the era of the transition from socialism to the market, she turned into a total plunder of state and other assets, and there is no need to dump everything on the oligarchs. The collapse of the economy against the backdrop of local civil wars gave rise to fears and longing for a strong hand. Of these, partly inspired, Putin woven and longing. The robbed and frightened wanted to burn with something, and the authorities provided them with this product, organizing victorious wars and putting them on stream.
The annexation of other people's lands and the Cold War declared the whole world have become a natural continuation of the isolationist strategy, and if anything prevents individual citizens from finally feeling like triumphs, it is the memory of those days and years when they were free people. The memory is systematically trampled, the heroes are shifted, and the banal in essence of the idea that the GKChP defeated, canceling the policy and constitutional norms of direct action, no longer plunges into shock and those few who know for sure: freedom was and remains the subject for pride. For in captivity in recent years everyone has been injured, and the situation seems hopeless.
However, Augustus was in our history, and it is useful to recall that then, in the first hours, when the announcers carried their nonsense and the music of the immortal ballet shook the hearts, most of us also seemed that it was all over and these bastards came again forever. And many of those who decided to defend democracy also probably thought that there was no reception against scrap and you could not have a goodhead against the tanks. I myself thought so. But two nights later it suddenly turned out that the tanks sometimes unfold on Tchaikovsky Street and dumped away - and morning comes. Usually in Russia, these nights last infinitely long, but always dissipate suddenly, like frost, and the happiness of liberation collapses on you, like undeserved love. Today is August 19. We will survive a couple of nights.
