On August 19, FSB officers searched the apartment of Fyodor Maryasov, co-chairman of the Krasnoyarsk environmental organization Nature of Siberia. about this on Twitter . wrote Pavel Chikov
Two representatives of the FSB came to the ecologist's apartment, located in ZATO (closed administrative-territorial formation) Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, together with attesting witnesses and a search warrant issued by a court decision. The basis for the search was the suspicion that Maryasov had committed a crime under Article 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).
Employees of the department presented the ecologist with the results of a linguistic examination of materials that Maryasov had been publishing on the VKontakte social network for several years. Following an hour and a half search, the FSB seized Maryasov's belongings, as well as three copies of a report prepared by the Nature of Siberia organization on the activities of Rosatom.
After the search, Fyodor Maryasov was taken to the local branch of the FSB, where he stayed for three hours. Then the ecologist was released.
Maryasov himself connects the interest on the part of the FSB with his critical publications against the state corporation Rosatom, which he carries out as the head of the direction for nuclear and radiation safety of the environmental organization Nature of Siberia.
