Lawyers Vadim Prokhorov and Oksana Mikhalkina insisted on the transfer of the whites under house arrest or release 28 million rubles - an approximate ruble equivalent of an incriminated bribe official. The defenders referred, in particular, to the state of health of the accused. He complained about his health during the trial and the White himself.
However, the judge took the side of the investigator and the prosecutor.
On June 24, the whites were detained in the Moscow bar - as the TFR claimed, when receiving a bribe in the amount of 400 thousand euros. The next day, the official was arrested until August 24 ( responses ).
Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale) of the whites threatens up to 15 years in the colony.
The official himself does not admit guilt, calling the initiation of the case against him a setup. For some time he held a hunger strike in a pre -trial detention center. At the same time, the arrested emphasized that he did not consider his persecution politically motivated.
On July 28, Vladimir Putin removed Belykh from his post "Due to the loss of trust." As the lawyer Proterorov reported, the arrested "with understanding relates to the need for this step."
