The government of St. Petersburg approved a resolution on the redistribution of the budget of the construction committee for 2016, according to which, for the construction of the Zenit Arena stadium, 2.6 billion rubles will be saved on schools, kindergartens and hospitals, writes . Fontanka
The resolution was approved on August 17, but published later.
The document says that the maximum amount of funding has been increased by 1.7 billion rubles, and for the creation of infrastructure such as parking for entrance pavilions - by almost 900 million rubles.
These funds will be deducted from the budget intended to finance the construction of approximately 30 social facilities: seven kindergartens, six schools, a social home, a clinic, a perinatal center and other institutions.
As Fontanka notes, earlier the city government promised to recover these funds from the former general contractor Inzhtransstroy-SPb or under a VTB bank guarantee.
It is planned that construction of the stadium will be completed by the end of this year. The completion of construction is being carried out by OJSC Metrostroy. The total cost of building the arena and creating infrastructure exceeds 42 billion rubles.
