In the Rostov region, law enforcement agencies detained two participants in a convoy of farmers and truck drivers that had left the Krasnodar Territory for Moscow the day before. Rosbalt reports this with reference to truck driver Andrei Bazhutin.
As Bazhutin explains, a riot police vehicle arrived at the activists’ parking lot blocked by the police in the Rostov region. Two truck drivers, Rustam Mallamagomedov and Sergei Vladimirov, began recording a video. They were immediately detained. The reason for the detention of activists is unknown.
UPD. 21:35 According to Arseny Vesnin on Twitter, both detained truck drivers were released. They were detained (and handcuffed) for taking photographs of paddy wagons. It is reported that the truckers were beaten, and Mallamagomedov suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital.
Let us remind you that the convoy was blocked on the afternoon of August 22, when the convoy stopped to rest in the village of Dorozhnoe. “We were surrounded by special services, police, traffic police, security forces - they are blocking us, like in Khimki. They say that we are violating the order of picketing and marching,” says truck driver Sergei Vladimirov.
