A search was conducted in the house of a Crimean Tatar

On August 23, in Crimea, FSB officers conducted a search in the house of Crimean Tatar Remzi Muslimov. Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelyalov wrote about this on his Facebook page. According to him, during the search a computer and several printed materials were seized, which the security forces considered “prohibited.” Muslimov was given an obligation to appear at the local FSB office.

On the same day, the Supreme Court of Crimea upheld the administrative punishment against Seyran Saliev, who on May 12 announced over a loudspeaker from the minaret of a mosque in Bakhchisarai about searches in the homes of Muslims. Law enforcement agencies and the court of first instance considered this an offense falling under Part 2 of Art. 20.2 of the Administrative Code (organization of an uncoordinated mass event), Saliev was fined 20 thousand rubles.
