This was reported by TASS with reference to the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky.
He said that in the Unified State Register, 191 objects of cultural heritage, located on the territory of the Solovetsky Monastery, were registered, 68 of them are planned to be restored by 2020.
“Over the past four years, 2 billion 268 million rubles have been allocated from the federal budget to preserve the monuments of the Solovetsky archipelago,” Medinsky said.
In 1992, the Complex of the Monuments of the Solovetsky Museum-Reserve was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, in 1995-into the state set of particularly valuable objects of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
“The museum-reserve is the city-forming enterprise of the village of Solovetsky, where less than a thousand people live,” the minister said. “In fact, every third adult resident of the archipelago works in the museum.”
