Security forces conduct a search in the Temple of Archangel Raphael

Law enforcement officers came to the Church of the Archangel Raphael belonging to the "True Orthodox Church" (TOC) with a search. This was reported on August 24 by the Interfax news agency.

Headed by the Archbishop of Moscow, Metropolitan of All Russia Raphael (Motovilov), the TOC is not part of the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2015, the Basmanny Court of Moscow recognized one of the brochures written by Metropolitan Raphael as extremist material. Details about the reasons for the search and the structures that conduct it are still unknown.
