Activists Dmitry Zhdanov and Viktor Kapitonov, who today tried to hold a rally dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine, near the embassy of this country in Moscow, were released home. This was reported by Zhdanov on the OVD-Info hotline.
For several hours the police persuaded Zhdanov, who is in a wheelchair, Kapitonov and Vladimir Malov to go with them to the police station, but they refused. As a result, the two activists were released without protocol right from the embassy building, and Vladimir Malov agreed to go to the Presnensky police station to give explanations and is still there at the moment.
