In the power of Spitsbergen

Western Spitsbergen is the warmest place in the Arctic. Due to the Hulf Stream of Winter, it is not so harsh here, and in the summer the temperature reaches a plus of 18 degrees. The archipelago has a special international status. Officially, Spitsbergen is the territory of Norway, but the countries that signed the "Spitsbergen treatise" have the right to conduct commercial and scientific activities here.
