The Ministry of Sports will apply to civilian courts with lawsuits against authors who accused Russia of state support for doping. This was stated by the head of the department Vitaly Mutko, reports TASS.
“We made a legal assessment,” said Mutko. “We will send it to international organizations and selectively file lawsuits against civil courts with authors who have ever accused us of supporting doping.”
The minister also did not exclude that Russia would dispute in the courts a number of provisions of the report of Richard McLaren. "From Monday, we will begin to work with a report, we will draw conclusions, they will be sent to the IOC, in WADA, international sports federations. We hired the best lawyers of the country, they analyzed the report. The conclusion on the report is such that this is a report, adjusted to the situation, its legal technique does not stand up. The courts, and those people who accused of something will be held accountable, ”said Mutko.
He added that Russian law enforcement agencies, investigating McLaren's report, already have grounds for making certain claims. In addition, the Ministry of Sports will turn to the Swiss manufacturer of containers for doping industry fence so that they give a public assessment to the statements of various persons that their products can supposedly be revealed to outsiders.
At the same time, Mutko believes that attacks on Russian athletes will continue. "We see that the work against us will continue, the methods are clear, there will be an attempt to discredit our result at the past Olympic Games, they can find in the list some surname that they" forgot ", and we will have to defend ourselves," the minister said.
Mutko also accused the International Paralympic Committee of the Uzurpation of the authorities. “In the Olympic movement, it turned out to defend the Russian team, and in the Paralympic movement, the International Committee usurped all power,” said Mutko. “The Ministry ofPetisms of Economics does not want to listen to what the International federation of archery from Russia says. Simply, according to their constitution, the Committee decides everything. There are practically no international federations.”
On Friday, the Paralympic Committee of Russiaappealed to the Swiss Federal Court a decision of the sports arbitration court to remove the Russian team from games in Rio de Janeiro. The appeal will be considered on Monday. According to Lukin, members of the Paralympic team can also appeal the court decision on an individual basis.
Sanctions against the Russian Paralympic movement were applied on the basis of the investigation of McLaren. July 22, after receiving information about 35 Russian paralympians mentioned in the WADA commission report, the International Paralympic Committee opened the case against the RCC.
On August 7, it was announced that the MPC made a unanimous decision on the removal of Russian athletes from the Paralympics and the deprivation of the PCR of the Organization. After that, the PCR appealed to CAS. On Tuesday, it became known that CAS upheld the decision of the MPC . The complaint of the Paralympic Committee of Russia was rejected.
