Detained defender of Torfyanka park fined after night in police station

The father of two minor children, Yevgeny Lebedev, one of the opponents of the development of the Torfyanka park detained on the night of August 29, left for the night in the Losinoostrovsky police department on charges of petty hooliganism, was fined 500 rubles by court decision on Monday afternoon. This was reported to OVD-Info by Ilnur Sharapov, a lawyer for the Agora human rights group, who represented the interests of the detainee.

Information about the results of the consideration of the case of the second detainee, Boris Fedorov, was not available at the time of writing.

In total, on the night of August 29, twelve people were detained in the park. The police, without naming the grounds for the detention, brought them to the police department and after several hours, during which the detainees were interrogated in turn about some damage to the fence around the construction site in the park, they released ten people without drawing up protocols. Fedorov and Lebedev were left in the police department until the trial, accusing them of foul language.
