In the Urals, for graffiti at the memorial, Soviet soldiers were sent to a mental hospital

The peace judge of the 1st section of the Varnensky district of the Chelyabinsk region, Natalya Anchugova, sent to the forced psychiatric treatment of a citizen Alexander Abramov, announcing him guilty of desecrating a memorial to Soviet soldiers. This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office, not mentioning the name of the defendant; Abramov was given by Znak.com. According to the verdict issued on August 29, citizens are sent to a specialized psychiatric hospital for intensive observation.

Abramov is 54 years old. Last year, Znak.com wrote that he was a resident of Yekaterinburg, but recently he lived in the village of Novopokrovka, Varnensky district. It is claimed that Abramov suffers from a kind of mental illness.

The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.

Abramov was charged with part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism based on political and ideological hatred), which provides for up to three years in the colony. According to the plot of the case, on the night of June 23 to 24, 2015, he appeared to the memorial to Soviet soldiers in Novopokrovka and painted a swastika there with red paint, and on a stele with the names of the Azov National Guard of Ukraine who died in the German -Soviet war (obviously, the emblem of the regiment of the Wolfsangel regiment).

The investigation of the incident was taken into account by the regional prosecutor Alexander Kondratyev. At the same time, initially the case was qualified under part 1 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code, not providing for an imprisonment in the colony.

As we might assume, the case was retrained after the police went to Abramov. This happened no later than mid -August 2015. In any case, on August 15, the suspect, according to the security forces, disappeared from the investigation. At that time, the case was already retrained.

The prosecutor’s office later said that Abramov was hiding with his sister in Yekaterinburg. From another publication of the department we can conclude that it was discovered in early March of this year. At the request of the prosecutor, the Barnensky City Court toughened the accused preventive measure, sending him to a pre -trial detention center for two months - until May 4. The lawyer of the arrested filed an appeal, but the Chelyabinsk Regional Court upheld this decision in force. Whether Abramov’s arrest was extended for a period after May 4, it is not known.

The prosecutor's office announced on the shipment of the case on July 5.

Whether Abramov pleaded the imputed guilt at the trial was not reported. He previously declared his non -involvement in the incident on the memorial.

Whether the appeal against the decision of Judge Anchugova will be filed, is also not specified.
