Google will help capture panoramas of the Faroe Islands from garden wheelbarrows and sheep

In July 2016, the people of the Faroe Islands launched the SheepView 360 campaign - tired of waiting for Google to capture panoramas of the area for the Street View project, they took 360-degree shots using sheep.

True, using sheep is not very convenient: animals go where they please, and not along the roads. Therefore, a Google representative flew to the Faroe Islands and brought with him equipment for capturing full-fledged panoramas.

The residents of the Faroe Islands, together with Google, decided to go their own way: the shooting will not be carried out by a special car, as is usually done. Instead, cameras will be attached to sheep and backpacks of pedestrians. In addition, filming will be done with a horse, skateboard, bicycle, kayak and garden wheelbarrow.

Residents of the Faroe Islands invite everyone to come visit, rent equipment and go shooting panoramas for Google Street View.
