American Google will launch a service that allows you to look for fellow travelers, reported sources said Wall Street Journal.
For the search, the WAZE navigation application belonging to Google will be used. According to WSJ, the service is already operating for about 25 thousand residents of San Francisco, working in companies such as Alphabet, Wal-Mart, Adobe.
In the future, it is planned to expand the field of service at least for the entire San Francisco. It is emphasized that, unlike competitors from Uber and Lyft, Google does not want to make a semblance of a taxi from the service, so drivers will earn enough, money will be able to cover fuel costs.
The similarity of the service with Uberpool and Lyft is that the drivers will not be employees of the company, while poor reviews about drivers will lead to the fact that Google will stop cooperation with them.
According to WSJ, in the future, Google can use their unmanned cars in the search for fellow travelers, which are already undergoing testing in the United States.
