
The collegium of the Supreme Court upheld the sentence to the 38-year-old resident of Perm Vladimir Luzgin, fined 200 thousand rubles for the repost on the personal VK page of the article “15 facts about“ Bandera ”, or what the Kremlin is silent about.” This was reported by the "New Gazeta" with reference to the lawyer Henry Reznik, who represented the interests of the blogger.
“The Supreme Court discredited itself in the person of this collegium,” the lawyer said. He, however, did not specify the names of members of the board.
Reznik assured that he would continue to appeal the verdict. “Including here the European court suggests itself (by human rights. - Ed.),” He added.
The verdict of Luzgin was sentenced on June 30 by the judge of the Perm Chrysud Andrei Kuznetsov . He announced the blogger guilty of part 1 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code (rehabilitation of Nazism by public denial of the facts established by the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal and the spread of knowingly false information about the activities of the USSR during the Second World War).
The article re -laid by Luzgin, Kuznetsov said, contains obviously false allegations about the joint aggression of the USSR and Germany against Poland and on the outbreak of the Second World War with these states. These statements were indicated by the judge, contradict the facts set forth in the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal.
Kuznetsov decided not to elect the measure of Prevention to Luzgin before entering into the legal force, and the 4th “iPhone”, from which the publication was made, was to be at the disposal of the convict.
The verdict of Luzgin was relatively soft. The maximum fine on the charges that the blogger was charged with is 300 thousand rubles, and the maximum sanction of part 1 of article 354.1 is three years of colony.

The first interrogation of the blogger in the case took place on March 25, 2016. Initially, Luzgin pleaded guilty, counting on the consideration of the case in a special order. In the future, however, he changed his position and refused to admit guilt. As noted in the verdict, he stated that he denies the distribution of deliberately false facts to him, "since the text of the sentence of the Nyurnberg tribunal did not study, the" Communists ", which were discussed in the article, did not identify with the USSR, the article seemed plausible to him."
In the investigation and court, which took place during June, the ex-wife of the defendant N. Shaevich, with whom he lived in the same apartment, and his father Vladimir Luzgin Sr., were interrogated as witnesses. Shaevich in court confirmed that the accused has a personal VK page, to which he came out of his mobile phone. Luzgin Sr., during the investigation, said that "around the spring of 2015, Vladimir began to criticize the Russian policy in relation to Ukraine."
Another witness was the dean of the Perm Humanitarian and Pedagogical University, the Dean of the Perm Humanitarian and Pedagogical University. In his testimony at the investigation, he stated that "the text available in it (the text published by Luzgin. - Ed.) The statement is a discrepancy recognized at the international level."
The verdict of Luzgin was the first court decision in the Perm Territory under Article 354.1, included in the Criminal Code in May 2014.
