The court rejected the complaints of the “tractor march” participants against administrative arrest

On September 1, the Rostov Regional Court rejected the appeals of the defense of the arrested participants of the “tractor march”. This was reported by Rosbalt with reference to representatives of the initiative group “Association of Russian Carriers”.

Trucker Sergei Vladimirov, as well as two farmers, Oleg Petrov and Nikolai Maslov, were previously arrested for ten days by the Aksay District Court of the Rostov Region; they are currently in a special detention center for administrative detainees in Novocherkassk.

During today's hearing, the judge rejected all requests, including those to bring witnesses.

“The judge did not consider the provided video materials, but flipped through the 74-page case in a few minutes,” noted the OPR.

It was expected that the court would consider the complaint of the defense of another participant in the action, truck driver from Dagestan Rustam Mallamagomedov, who was detained and beaten on August 22, but they did not consider the materials on Mallamagomedov. Mallamagomedov was sentenced in absentia to 10 days of arrest. It is unknown where the truck driver is now.

Farmers in the Krasnodar Territory planned to travel in a convoy of 17 tractors to Moscow to tell the federal authorities about violations of the law by Krasnodar officials. On August 22, their column was blocked in the village of Dorozhnoe by police and National Guard forces, and on the evening of August 23, almost all participants in the action were detained. As a result, 16 of them were subjected to administrative arrests for periods ranging from three to ten days.
