The bishops were detained during a search, launched in the Synodal House of the RPAC at about 13:30 on Tuesday. As of 19 hours, the search still continued. The security forces seized computers.

As the agency "Monavista" reported with reference to some "reliable sources", the FSB checks "its involvement (RPAC. - Ed.) Adepts in the commission of an extremist character." Some representatives of this church, the agency said, expressed remarks in the process of worship, exciting hatred and enmity to a certain social group.

Also, the "Monavista" reported that in 2015, extremist materials made publications on the Internet made by Bishop of RPAC Andrei (Maklakov). The agency noted that Andrei is a US citizen.
