In the Chelyabinsk region, a municipal deputy will be tried for beating a police officer and possession of gunpowder

In the Chelyabinsk region, a criminal investigation has been completed against deputy of the Uysky municipal district Vladimir Glushak, who is accused of beating a policeman and illegal possession of hunting smokeless powder (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code and Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

The incident occurred on January 11, 2016 in the village of Berezovka, Uysky district of the region. According to the investigation, deputy Glusak hit a police officer several times in the head, whom local residents called to prevent a conflict that arose with the deputy on a domestic basis.

During the investigation, it turned out that Glushak illegally stored more than 1.2 kilograms of hunting smokeless powder in his house in Berezovka. The Investigative Committee noted that in 2014, a deputy was sentenced to five months of correctional labor for beating a bailiff. After this, Glushak was deprived of his license to own a hunting rifle, but he did not hand over the explosives in accordance with the procedure established by law.

The criminal case against the deputy has been sent to court. During the investigation, the chairman of the council of deputies of the Uysky municipal district was presented with a proposal to eliminate the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of this crime.
