A search was conducted at the Islamic cultural center in Simferopol

On September 5, in Simferopol, a search was carried out at a mosque on Makrousova Street, where the Islamic cultural center owned by the Creation organization is located. This was reported in the “Crimean Solidarity” group on the social network Facebook with reference to the mufti of Ukraine Said Ismagilov, as well as on the site “Crimea. Realities".

This is the third time this place has been searched in the past two years. Ismagilov said that every time the security forces plant banned literature on the territory of the mosque and then “find” it. Therefore, the imam of the mosque now carefully examines all the nooks and crannies of the building several times a day for anything forbidden. However, yesterday the police nevertheless found books by the founder of Wahhabism, Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab, in the yard next to the toilet.

According to Ismagilov, Muslims do not go to the toilet with books, especially with religious treatises. It is strictly forbidden to store such literature in places where people carry out hygiene procedures.

“Some materials were discovered that have nothing to do with us. We unequivocally state that this was planted by some intruders who had bad intentions. Two or three leaflets, which, according to the law of the Russian Federation, are included in the list of prohibited literature,” Krym.
