In Chechnya, students complained of being forced to hold rallies

Students of Grozny universities claim that they were forced to participate in the Republic Day celebrations on September 5. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".

The publication cites the stories of students of the Chechen State University Khamzat and Timur, who were brought to the local Palace of Youth instead of classes:

Yesterday, as usual, we came to classes, but then we were collected and taken to the center, as it turned out, to a rally on the occasion of the Republic Day. We didn't have any jobs.

We were again used as extras at the rally. As usual, flags and banners were handed out, and so we rallied for an hour and a half or two

The "Caucasian Knot" also refers to Kheda, a student at the Grozny State Oil Technical University, who says that this is a permanent practice. According to her, students are attracted to various pro-government events almost every month.
