The court extended the arrest of four Crimean Muslims

On September 5, the court extended the detention period for four Crimean Muslims accused of participating in the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. This was reported in the Crimean Solidarity group on the Facebook social network.

Muslim Aliyev, Arsen Dzhepparov, Enver Bekirov and member of the Human Rights Contact Group in Crimea Emir-Usein Kuku will remain under arrest until at least October 8. All four were detained on February 11, 2016 in different settlements of Crimea.

Law enforcement agencies are opening cases about Hizb ut-Tahrir cells in different regions of the country, while the defendants are charged with reading religious literature, participating in meetings and recruiting supporters - all this is participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. The activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir are banned in a number of countries around the world, but in others, for example, in Ukraine, the organization functions freely.
