Arson or a staging?

The action of the opponents of Inter - about a hundred former fighters of the Volunteer battalions "Holy Maria", "Aidar" and "Donbass" started on Monday, September 5, at the main office of the television company. On this day morning, a two -meter fence appeared around the building. The protesters installed tents here, blocked all the entrances to the television center and announced that their action would continue until the requirements put forward:

“We demand that“ Inter ”stop broadcast Russian television products. We demand that they changed the information policy, refused Russian propaganda so that they would not advertise the Moscow Patriarchate and, in general, that this coordination from the Kremlin is terminated,” said the coordinator of the action Alexei Seredyuk.

However, in the afternoon on Tuesday, August 6, Alexei Seredyuk said that the protesters stopped blocking the main office of the channel, since his leadership "promised to remove the entire Russian content from the air and dismiss the main ideologist of Inter's information programs of the Russian political strategist Igor Shuvulov. As Meredyuk noted, if these conditions are not fulfilled, then five days later, not a hundred, but a thousand former soldiers of volunteer battalions will come to the television center building.

A few hours after this statement, the Inter leadership refuted information on the achievement of any agreements with the protesters. The corresponding application is published on the website of the program "Details".

The Inter TV channel did not agree with the persons who blocked the work of the television center and did not conduct any negotiations with the radicals, ”the statement said. It also notes that “Inter” was able to resume broadcasting thanks to the actions of the National Police, the National Guard, as well as the “active position” of employees and the leadership of the channel.

The team of this media thanked the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for "intervening in the situation around the channel."

The blockade of the main office of the television channel was preceded by a Sunday promotion of several dozen young people near the company building on Shchuseva Street, 26, which produces information programs for Inter. After this action, fifteen people in masks broke into the building and set fire to several of its premises. As a result of the arson, the studio equipment was almost completely destroyed, five people were poisoned by carbon monoxide, one of the employees was hospitalized with a spinal injury. The police opened production under two articles - “hooliganism” and “intentional destruction of property”, but no one has been presented in this case. The Ukrainian media write that representatives of the Black Committee, as well as the OUN of Nikolai Kokhanivsky, who had previously arranged pogroms of the Kyiv branches of the Sberbank of Russia, also participated in arson.

The editor -in -chief of the Details of the Week, which goes to Inter, Larisa Zadorozhny claims that 15 minutes before the attack on television studies, the police officers on duty at the building left their posts:

"I came that day in the morning. They sat at the entrance. But 15 minutes before the attack, the police left. I do not blame anyone. I state the fact."

And the Ministry of Internal Affairs accused Inter employees of that they did not provide a video from surveillance cameras immediately after the fire.

“I had to draw up a resolution with the investigator, and the cameras were received only a few hours later, when the time was lost. Moreover, it turned out that the servers on which the notes were stored were damaged. And so far, the National Police investigator, together with experts, is still trying to reveal them to find out how everything was actually,” said the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko.

A day after the arson of television, the head of state gathered the leaders of law enforcement agencies and called on to prevent the escalation of violence. Petro Poroshenko also instructed the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko personally control the investigation of this case.

"The implementation of the scenarios of the aggressor state is absolutely unacceptable, when, through financing from the Russian Federation, individual media seek to destabilize the domestic political situation in Ukraine," Poroshenko said at a meeting with security forces.

Inter is included in the three most popular television channels of Ukraine. Its shareholders are oligarch Dmitry Firtash and a member of the Parliamentary faction "Opposition Bloc" <Former head of the administration of the President Viktor Yanukovych> Sergey Levochkin.

“The arson of the Inter television studio is not just a crime, but an attempt on journalists, freedom of speech and democracy,” the deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc emphasizes.

- We cannot say who is the customer of this story. But in any case, such methods are unacceptable in Ukraine, which is building a European state. Protests can have various forms. If we talk about the Inter channel, then the competent authorities can be checked, in particular, such an independent body as the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting. For violation of existing rules, he may deprive the broadcast license. In addition, there are law enforcement agencies that could investigate criminal cases of how this channel was transferred from hand to hand. When changing the owner there, there were also fraud, but setting fire to a channel is a direct attack on journalists.

In the past, the journalist of Ukrainian Pravda Sergey Leshchenko, who published materials about Inter shareholders, admits that the arson of the television channel may be the result of a long conflict between its owners and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, one of the leaders of the Popular Front Arsen Avakov:

- I have repeatedly said that Avakov is a possible participant in the so -called military coup or coup in Ukraine, but I do not own information whether he was involved or not this attack on Inter. I do not exclude that it may be related events. Well, if there is his trace here, then these events are connected, although I cannot say that his trace is. Of course, Avakov is one of those who are interested in destabilizing the work of Inter and the general political system of Ukraine. Avakov’s influence on volunteer battalions, as I said earlier, can lead to a military coup. I want to emphasize that such a development of events is only one of the possible scenarios.

For the "opposition bloc", in which there are many former comrades-in-arms of the ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, "Inter" is the main information site for criticizing the authorities. Some experts associate the next attack on the rating channel with the desire of both the Popular Front and personally Arsen Avakov to gain control over this media. The day before, the Minister of Internal Affairs turned to the Security Service of Ukraine with an invitation to investigate the activities of the Inter leadership in connection with its “anti -state position”. Avakov called on the SBU to send from the country the main ideologist of the television channel, the Russian political strategist Igor Shuvalov. The word - to the director of the sociological service "Ukrainian barometer" to Viktor Nebozhenko :

- Of course, there is a classic provocative intrigue by the owners and managers of Inter - Levochkin, Shuvalova. They love to strengthen the protest movement in order to get the desired picture, which then allows you to get political dividends. But, without a doubt, here we observe a very complex struggle. On the one hand, there is not so much the “Popular Front” as the Minister of Avakov, to whom the National Guard is subordinate, and he has long dreamed of entering a large information arena. I think that he is somehow trying to enter the Inter-Office in order to attend him more often. No less than the president of Ukraine. But, on the other hand, Poroshenko has excellent relations with Levochkin and Firtash, and they are not interested in anyone except the president to appear on Inter. And in this situation, in general, while the advantage is on the side of the owners of the Canal and Poroshenko. The latter at any moment may blame the Minister of Internal Affairs of official mismatch in connection with the riots, arson of Inter. This intrigue is preserved, that is, the Avakov group will either win, which will force Firtash to accept the information conditions of Avakov, and not the Popular Front, or President Poroshenko, using the conflict around the Inter, will remove Avakov from his post. And everything else - people, burning tires, regular arson, the video disappeared after the fire from surveillance cameras - all this is secondary.

- Do you think that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, who retains the influence of former soldiers of volunteer battalions, can attract them to fulfill their specific tasks?

Either Poroshenko and Firtash will cope with Avakov and resign him, or Avakov will achieve his own and receive a quarter of Inter shares

​ - Yes, sure. They fulfill his orders. You know that Poroshenko spent almost a year to remove Arseniy Yatsenyuk from the Popular Front leader, but it turned out that his stronger enemy was Avakov. Poroshenko cannot remove it, because in this case the parliamentary majority will fall apart. The "Popular Front" of the ex-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk will come out of it. And Avakov does not stop there and needs an information site such as Inter. To some extent, Avakov is under the influence of his adviser on the information policy Gerashchenko, who is already enough to appear only on the 112 Ukraine channels, News One, on Facebook. Avakov wants to feel like the second Shuvalov in Ukraine. And hence such an aggravation of the conflict of veterans of the military operation in the Donbass, former fighters of volunteer battalions who are very listening to Avakov, and the leadership of Inter. But, I repeat, President Poroshenko may raise the question that Avakov as the Minister of Internal Affairs cannot cope with the investigation of events around Inter, and this is also a real threat to Avakov. Therefore, either Poroshenko and Firtash will cope with Avakov and resign him, or Avakov will achieve his own and receive a quarter of Inter shares.

- The autumn political season in Ukraine actually opened the conflict around Inter. Can he become a catalyst for early parliamentary elections, which the opposition insists on?

- Maybe. That is why we observe such sharp actions. And not only early parliamentary, but also early presidential elections are possible. If the president’s political technologists see that Petro Poroshenko’s rating continues to fall, then they will have no choice but to propose to hold the elections <presidential ”today, so that it is not too late tomorrow. You do not forget that we are dealing with an intellectual president, who, although he believes in his eternal star, but at the same time perfectly understands what dangers are fraught with the fall of the rating, therefore, of course, we are talking about the main information button - about Inter. And everything else is the anti -Ukrainian position of "Inter", excesses are different, this is all that is easily cleaned and easily regulated.

Due to the anti-Ukrainian policy of Inter, the ex-chef editor of the details of the week, the Russian citizen Maria Stolyarova in February this year was deported from Ukraine. Last summer, Inter was in the center of the new scandal. The correspondence of its employees with representatives of the so -called "Donetsk People’s Republic" appeared on social networks. The correspondence follows, in particular, that the editorial policy of the channel was agreed with the separatists and Russian political technologists. There are a lot of details that suggest that all this is a staging

- Of course, the Inter channel at the time that Ukraine is now experiencing, behaves defiantly. The Ukrainian viewer had the opinion that this is an absolutely pro -Russian channel that supports the separatists. Not always, of course, on the forehead, but it is still very felt. As for the last scandal. I was in this building <on Shchuseva Street, 26, where the fire occurred>, participated in several Inter programs. This is a spare building, this office is not the main one. There are a lot of details that suggest that all this is a staging. Why? Because there was no video from surveillance cameras immediately and it can be assumed that someone could work with them. Well, and those who came under the building with tires and burned them on the street, protesting against the policy of Inter, set fire to both the first and second floor of the building. They also have a serious bandwidth. At the entrance is an armed guard. All this is pierced with white threads.

- Do you assume that its owners can stand behind the arson of Inter's television studio?

- I do not think that it was the initiative of the owners. It is possible that the initiative came from our northern neighbor. For what? It seems to me that this is obvious against the background of the situation in Ukraine. While we have conditional silence in the Donbass, so we had to organize such a provocation. Like, look, how terrible this Ukraine is, this Bandera, these nationalists. See what they do. They even set fire to the television channels. I am not an apologist for Ukrainian authorities, I very often criticize it. But in this case, it seems to me that the authorities would never dare to set fire to the channel. She would use other means, for example, the National Commission on Television and Radio Broadcasting, which has the right to make a comment and even close the TV channel.

At the beginning of this year, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine already issued a warning to Inter because of the broadcast of the New Year's program, the participants of which were Russian artists announced in Ukraine Persona Non Grata.
