Apple introduced a waterproof iPhone 7 without headphone jack

Apple introduced new models of her phone - iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. "Medusa" leads a live broadcast of the presentation of the company.

The main difference from the previous devices is that in the new iPhones there is no 3.5-mm headphones. Now the headphones can be connected via Bluetooth or through the Lightning connector designed for charging. For “old” headphones, it will be possible to use an adapter that will be supplied with the iPhone 7. Stereodinics are also built into the phone.

Apple will separately sell new Apple Airpods wireless headphones. They will work for 5 hours on one charge and recharge from the case in which they are stored.

In addition, the iPhone has a 12-megapixel rear camera with a diaphragm F 1/1.8 and the optical image stabilization. The front camera has become 7-megapixel.

In the senior version - the iPhone 7 Plus - there will be two rear cameras of 12 megapixels each. One of them is wide -angle, and the other with a long -focus lens “approaching” the picture. You can switch between cameras during shooting.

Another innovation: now the main Home button is not pushed down when pressing (mechanical parts have disappeared from it), but makes it possible to feel that it was pressed. The phone also became waterproof and protected from dust.

In the minimum configuration, iPhones now have 32 gigabytes of memory, while earlier there were 16 gigabytes. The maximum increased from 128 gigabytes to 256 gigabytes.

New iPhones will be five different colors (and not four) - now there will be two black ones. Previously, they were gold, silver, “gray space” and “pink gold”. The new iPhones, instead of “gray space”, will be the colors of “black, like a resin” and just “black”. The size of the screens remained the same: 4.7 inches in the iPhone 7 and 5.5 inch at the older model.

Sales of new iPhones will begin in some countries on September 16 (in Russia - from September 23). The iPhone 7 will cost $ 649 for a 32-gigabyte version (56,990 rubles). The iPhone 7 Plus will cost from $ 749 (from 67,990 rubles). Apple Airpods will cost $ 159.

Also at the presentation on September 7, Apple introduced the new model of the Apple Watch watch. They are called Apple Watch Series 2 and they can be immersed in water to a depth of 50 meters.
